Overview

Xtream is an advanced USB digital audio controller making it a complete audio solution for personal computers. As a composite USB device,the Xtream audio controller is designed to replace the current audio implementation with advantages of additional functions including S/PDIF Input/Output, USB HID keypad,adn CIR/RF remote control. Fully compliant to USB Audio and HID Class specifications, the Xtream audio controller integrates high-fidelity audio and friendly user control in a single chip that requires no custom device drivers.

There are two packages offered for the Xtream audio controller. The KC2178P comes in a 44 pin LQFP package and the KC2178H comes in a 65 pin LQFP package. The KC2178H has an optional external ROM interface to support custom firmware for vendor specific applications.
